Is $1700 a good price for suspension work?

Moog. The parts were warranties.
Unfortunately aftermarket parts when it comes to Dodge/RAM suspensions is begging for trouble. You will have failures again within a fairly short period of time.

OEM is the way to go, and you obviously already experienced this otherwise it wouldn't be a warranty issue.

$1700 seems steep for aftermarket, but also depends on the area/hourly rate.

100-120k is about all i get out of them. Oem lasted the same. 223k on the truck now. For whatever reason those lower control arm bushings really add to the price. Would have been $950 If I just did those and left the ball joints alone
