Interesting observation for me

Ok, I maybe fully wrong here but from my past experiences I have noticed something how car leaded and unleaded cars run.

First off, my Uncle's RV 1975 Superior with the original 440 Dodge in it has zero noise to it. Meaning, it doesn't make any lifter noise or little rattles on start up and it feels solid! Couple years ago I graduated from a Joint vocational school and studied Auto mechanics there in my junior and senior years. Some cars we would get they would need a lead substitute to run right and here again I don't recall any of these cars having lifter noises or any other little rattles.

Now I hear some modern day cars that run on unleaded gas. The little rattles on low RPM's, sounds like lifters, know what I'm talking about?? I hear them all the time. Well, lead and lead substitute contain lubricants in them to help with lubrication of fuel system parts and for proper firing. Unleaded fuels don't seem to have these lubricants, hence why I hear these "start up rattles" on modern day engines. Please correct me on any of this. But this is just what I noticed over the years,,,,,,AR

I've got a 1974...the reason you can't hear any rattles, jolts, weird noises...is cause the car is so infinintely louder then a modern car its not funny.

Most stock 03/04 vehicles, when you turn them on, you can't even tell the car is running from inside the cabin. When I start the 6.6 liter..the whole neighborhood knows I'm heading out.

Its also a major difference in technology...Carb vs Fuel Injectors (no constant injectors firing), single cam push rod vs DOHC... Materials differences, instead of iron/steel/alumnium, you've got alumnium, carbon fiber, plastic, steel and iron. (With alumnium/plastic being primarily used)

I think it has little to do with fuel or oil, and everything to do with the technology involved.

Like I said, I don't know if I was totally wrong on this but it was something that was just pondering in my head. Thanks,,,,AR

sounds like you need a lead substitute like Bismuth leads brother that is as good as lead and provides the same results in a non toxic way.

nothing performs like lead too bad its still not available whether they want to admit it or not there is no substitute to lead.
