Looks like it to me too. I don't see any runners on the other side.

Yes. The intake ports on the flathead feed two intake valves, one for each cylinder. Exhaust ports are individual.

Never seen such a set up before. This is a later -8, but it was a low RPM, long stroke engine, known for torque and smooth balance.

I imagine it still was, even with the blower.

I can appreciate the ingenuity, engineering and fabrication... that intake manifold and plenum looks ... uh... not ideal...

Still - who cares it is cool...
