Intel CEO Pat Gelsinger is "retiring"

There is another issue; an upstream issue. If sanctions against China continue/increase, the Semiconductoe Mfg Equipment companies will be greatly impacted.
In the 1930's Japan wanted to compete with the industrialized nations of Western Europe and the USA. However Japan was natural resource poor, and all the local resources were locked up by the colonial powers. So Japan started attacking nearby countries with resources, like the Phillipines, Guam, and China. In 1941 FDR imposed an oil embargo on Japan, cutting off 80% of their supply.

Every passing day, the ability to embargo/ cut off supply diminishes.

No one is going to use a ship. You tell ASML - you can sell to China, or sell to the US. If ASML sells to China, you knock their country off of SWIFT.

Even if you wanted to use force - ships are done. Drones, missiles. Look at what Ukraine has done to the Russian Navy with basically commercial hardware.

There are lots of tech that the US will not allow to be transferred to China. If there getting it through nefarious ways it wouldn't surprise me, but there are real laws preventing it.

It honestly doesn't matter to me anyway, With Chinese demographics, in 10 years they will be irrelevant.

Not to say were all that far behind, but collapse is not mutually exclusive.

But we have discussed this before, so I will continue to politely disagree.
