I bought a set of Moog CC507 rear springs and they are progressively wound. They have a section of closely wound coils and a section of coils much further apart. These are called 'cargo springs' because they allow a comfortable ride when lightly loaded and a firmer spring rate when heavily loaded. My question is - do you place the tightly wound coils at the bottom or the top, when mounting them? Or does it matter?

Blokley, thanks for the reply and you are correct. I did find a small piece of paper in the bottom of the box of springs. It had some install tips and stated that the tighter coils do go on top. Thanks. Jim
