To me the numbers are so close yet the Motorcraft is $4 and M1 is $10
I was just thinking price.

Maybe I am wrong.. I do not understand the Filter Efficiency Standard and Micron Ratings
The M1 (SAE J1858 Multi Pass @ 25 microns) 99.20% w/ Micron Rating 10
Motorcraft has 80% Rating w/Micron Rating 20

Just to let you know, there is a big difference in effiecency between 99% effiecent @ 25 micron and 80% effiecent at 20 microns. Since 20 and 25 microns are pretty close in size, it says the Motorcraft is almost 20% LESS effiecent in filtering performance.

The Ford racing filter has a great filter effiecency and flow performance however.

So far, I have not found a source for those.

Do you have any transport dealers? I get mine from the dealer slammds15 on here works for.

Out of curiosity I called my local fleetpride dealer and they quoted me 17.75 for a filter. Think I'll MO a few from that site unless somebody can pipe in a better deal somewhere.

No they are by far not junk. On a daily driver I would much rather have the 820s compared to the racing filter. The racing filter will flow a little better but likely not filter as efficient as the 820s.

How can you say that when the filtering specs show the non-racing 820 is 80% efficient at 20 microns compared to the 820 racing version being 99% efficient at 20 microns (?).

I'm getting them for MUCH less than that.... CANADIAN! So you definitely should be able to find them cheaper!
