I would also say all the billy club style are the same with different branding, the Venom and Venom HO are the best all in one hand held ones.

Just a few minutes before your reply came in, I pulled the trigger on this guy. We will see ...

I recently bought this one and used it yesterday for the first time. I tried using it on a lug nut that had been stripped. It got the lug nut hot but I never saw it get cherry red like it claims it should. We still couldn't get the lug nut off but I'm not going to say the induction heater was at fault since we could not get a good grip on the lug nut. It was also a left-hand thread nut at that.

This KKSTEVENS model KS02 1600 is 20 percent off Amazon today ($239 USD before tax). Something I could use, so went ahead and pulled the trigger at 20 percent off.

Good to hear. Did yours get the bolts cherry red and if so, how long did it take to get like that?
No, I applied heat for about a minute, and then tried with the small (3/8") impact driver. If the bolt stopped (as one or two or the four did) I applied more heat and tried again.

What happens is the induction heater directly comes in long term contact with the bolt you are trying to heat?

I can make nuts glow red with mine. Takes about 40 seconds for a nut around 22mm.

One of my neighbors asked me to help him disassemble the front end on this little Honda he has. I brought the Hot Rod over. I was just about to switch it on when I suddenly remembered the warning. Bob, my neighbor is 78. I said Bob, do you have a Pacemaker? Nope. ok good. Let's do this.
Little scary the first time even though I don't have heart issues.

Good review.

The instructions stress removing rings and anything else metal that might be affected by the induced current. I'm glad the review reinforced that.

I removed my wedding band, and, probably out of an abundance of caution, my belt.
My wedding band is titanium. I would think it's ok since it isn't magnetic. Still have all my fingers.
