I just got a sony blu ray dvd player wifi for xmas. I was setting up the dvd player wifi part, but couldn't connect to my wireless network. I realized that my wifi router security settings were mac address enabled. Well, I turned that off because I couldn't find the mac address of the sony blu ray player anywhere, but my router is still WPA2 encrypted. the results? My wireless signal strength on my laptop and desktop have went from "low" signal to "very good" signal in the upstairs bonus room. I didn't know turning off the mac filter in the security settings would boost my signal??
