Incompatence: Oil change workers!!!

I simply for the life of me can't understand why these people think that the drain plug has to be on so tight? Well, actually, I can take a guess; because some geniouses at these oil change places didn't put them on tight enough. There's no happy medium (aka, the correct way

I finally convinced my brother-in-law that he should change the oil himself. He doesn't do any wrenching or DIY around the house. Plus, money is not a problem for him. I explained that it's not the money, but the TIME he would save doing it himself.
