Are you guys referring to the old Gold Class or the new Gold Class Plus wax? The new stuff is supposed to be more durable.

If you wax every month any product should work for you unlike some who wax 2 times per year (or less) and equally proud. If you use good wash/dry practices, you have a great looking ride every day.

I wax my car to protect it's finish but primarily to make it look new. Most of these synthetic waxes made with no Carnauba leave the car with a glass-like appearance. Very glossy but doesnt really bring out color. However waxes made up of mostly Carnauba brings out the color of the vehicle and leaves amazing clarity and depth. Especially in vehicles with a top clearcoat. However synthetic waxes typically last longer because the polymers "cling" to the paint leaving a more durable layer. But I love the look i get with Carnauba.

If you wax only a few times a year, try the wax suggestions made above. I've never tried them but i can guarentee that they'll last longer than a traditional/ Carnauba wax

If you wax once a month like i do, sure any product will work. But if you want intense color and depth, try Meguiar's Gold Class. It works.

I have 1 single coat of collinite 476s on my GTI. I put that on in september. As of right now, with never washing the car since then and going through all of the winter so far the paint still beads as if I waxed it yesterday. I just went out to a coin op car wash place to just use the high pressure and spot free rinse and the water beaded up and rolled off so nice. Now all I need to do is wash with Optimum No Rinse tomorrow to get all the hazy dirt left over from not actually washing my car just rinsing it off. One major thing to consider before trying out Collinite 476 is that you need to put a very very thin coat on your paint or it will take you hours to buff off like what happened to me. Other than that, wax comparison tests have proven that 476s is one of the most durable waxes you can buy and it's only like 15.99. I'm about to test out some Poorboysworld Natty's Blue paste wax which is also a very durable wax but a lot easier to use.
