I own a Montana 2002 and a Century 2002.

Since I bought those car I havent stick to only one brand and use Canadian tire oil, petro canada oil, castrol and pennzoil, sometime semi synth.

Now I want to stick to one brand. At the walmart near by my place they have Pennzoil, and Castrol gtx. The gtx is often on " sale " they are both 13.47 cad but Castrol come in 5 liters more often.

Any significant difference between the 2 ? I change my oil at 5000 miles or 8000 km. So far the UOA were showing decent result. I am often high on silicone on the Montana but not enough to be really concerned .

Thanks for your input guys.

And yes I used the search option but I couldn't not see or understand all the data.

Baveux,

Both Castrol GTX and Pennzoil are fine choices, and there are other fine choices as well. But the fact that the Castrol is often on sale and is available in 5 liter jugs more often then, the Castrol seems like the best choice.

If you feel tired when you shift between brands, you really need to start doing some excersises
