Out of a big generator.

What's the prime mover for the generator? I loved the Detroit Diesel 71/92/149 series engine equipped standby generator sets on military bases where I've been stationed. They're getting fewer and fewer as time goes on but the Galley here in Jax still has a 16V149TIB with 4 turbos and two bypass blowers for standby power. It sounds so good when they fire it up and put it on the load bank once a month.

One day I will have a fleet of equipment powered by 2 stroke GM or Detroit Diesels.

I'm in the Members Picture thread but you can look at my mug here, although I have lost considerable weight since then... Click Here

I've got a '71 Chevy C90 with a 6-71 Detroit that takes a radiator about that size. It needed a recore a few years ago. Cost me about $1100, IIRC.
