ILSAC GF-6 vs SP

I came across this brief description which is outlined in red from a Kendall website that said the SP rating was for heavier grades such as 0w40. But on a bottle of 5w30 there was a SP rating. I take it the “ brief description” was somewhat inaccurate. Thoughts?

Well technically they aren't wrong perhaps. That's API SP RC in the picture. They aren't talking about API SP RC in the Kendall shot. So perhaps they are right on a very anal technicality ? lol
 
Thanks for the API post. I organized the info on Phosphorus. I recall now that there was an article that said voting members on the API committee at first wanted to impose a 800 ppm limit on the 40 grades but in the first vote there were several dissenters so in a subsequent vote they decided a limit is not required ( NR).
