on a jet plane, tomorrow, bound for Phoenix, AZ. Wife and I are flying out to visit #3 son and wife for their 1st. wedding anniversary.

Thursday the 4 of us will be driving up to visit the Grand Canyon, back on Sun., then back home on Tue. Hope my sinuses can handle it....

I'm not taking my laptop as My Son has both Mac and windows desktops and laptops. I'll be checking in via browser every day.

He has audio and video studio level equipment, because of his photojournalism, and his wife is a radio producer and freelances voice over for commercials and educional material.

Couple of durn yuppies.

Should be perfect weather this time of year - not too hot, not too cold (wait, does it ever get cold in Phoenix???).

The drive from Phoenix up to the Grand Canyon is absolutely gorgeous. It's got to be about a 5K to 6K feet elevation gain. From desert to close to alpine climate. It's wicked drive in the dead of summer - they have pull over spots for overheating. Bad combo of super high ambient temps and high engine loads.

last time I went to the west coast to Los Angeles two years ago, I got sick like a dog when I got back home.
