Are these wires real pricey? If over 75 bucks just buy a set of decent quality generic black wires for 20 bucks

Just don't by any Accell junk.

You dont need this "restoration" stuff on a driver car - unless it will make you REALLY happy.

ARCO, how about the spark plugs? So I'll have a factory coil, stock points distributor and Packard wires. What current plugs will round out the total package?

What does the Owners Manual say?

Dodge Bros use Champions.

Likely CHAMPION J11Y

I don't think they are made anymore.

You might be able to find RJ11YC.

What's in there now? I wouldn't bother unless its a 99 Point + MInt restoration show car.

Is this car super original mint survivor or restored?

Yeah, the Champion J11Y was the original plugs used back in the day. Long discontinued.

I talked to my Pure Stock racer friends out in Detroit. They told me, given my compression ratio, to use NGK R5670-5. They're a non-resister race plugs. Guess I'll try those.

Are you racing the car?

I wouldn't put a denso in any American car.

The NGK V-Power have been garbage for decades.

You Cant run non-resistor plugs without metal boot shields - they DO NOT meet FCC noise suppression requirement

and it can really mess up electronics..

If you cant find the Champions as New old stock ( go to an old auto parts store )

I would run the Autolite AP85 to start.

The old Iron head engines aren't as picky as the new aluminum head DOHC motors.

AT least when you are running slightly rich when wide open.

The Incoming fuel charge does a good job at cooling the plug and piston crown.

Remember - No N2O !

Aren't the factory CHAMPION J-11Y non-resistor plugs?

I'm running factory points ignition. No stereo and no onboard electronics.

The auto restorers have but all scoped up the J-11Y's. If you can find them, they're a premium $$$.
