Hey guys since I am looking at a lot of for sale by owner cars I purchased a 30 day unlimited auto check. If you are in the market or just curious. Give me the vin and ill give you the info. Just trying to help out.

Yea really? I paid for it its unlimited so I am allowed to run any vin I want.... nothing wrong with that...

I'd probably argue that letting a friend run a VIN for purposes of curiosity is not using it commercially. If a dealer bought it to run on cars or otherwise for the purposes of commercially selling/buying vehicles, I could see it.

If you're offering on a forum to do it for some other party who would otherwise pay for their own autocheck subscription, then you're doing it commercially. Same as any other intellectual property like stealing cable tv or wifi internet.

Doing it "commerically" would imply you are getting paid to do it. If he is doing this for free I see no issue. Better things to worry about I would think.

Exactly. I paid for it I can run any vin I want I am not gaining anything from doing it.

If you're going to do it at least use a PM. They watch google and if your VIN comes up that's pretty unique.

Just know that AutoCheck and Carfax are only as good as the info provided to them. I know of more than a few cars that are totaled, but have a clean Carfax.

I am not going to disagree but 9 times out of 10 its reported. A car fax/ auto check is
Good info but there is more to consider and things to look at / check for.

Its quite easy to find free autocheck's actually.
Google the right phrase and find the right url. Edit it with the VIN you're looking for. Done.
Won't post any more details as it would be step by step for illegal activities. Put in some work ya cheap skates.

^ yea I prefer doing It the legal way. The company provides a service and me the consumer should pay for it. Thats how they keep the lights on. I dont like stuff like that its not fair to the company that provides it.
