A guy emailed me about making him some special parts.
I told him that I have a part matching free service on my website and to try that first as it would be cheaper if we already have something that specs out- which I often do..

He thanked me and said " If it was a snake..."

That was it??
What do you get from that. My guess was he didn't see the link to the matching service???
But he never came back???

Thanks all!

"... it would have bit me"

it means he was very close but didn't see it

he meant no ill, its just an old silly expression (a southern one)

I heard that once.

They said,
"If I was a snake, it would have bit me,,,,, I would have been dead by now"

Like when I'm in a Store and ask an employee where an item is located,
and it's right on the shelf behind me.

Thanks guys.
I hear it often but forgot since he didn't say "... it would have bit me" Duh on me

I don't kill snakes but I don't like them. Just like you said.. I never find them until I am actually standing next to them....

Heard that said all my life. I still use it when I ask someone in a store where an item is and it ends up being right where I was looking.
