Ice 32 A/C oil additive?

One of our suppliers used to sling this stuff pretty hard, but I never used it personally as we always went by the book when it came to oil/refrigerant levels

Found a dusty box on the shelf full of 1.5oz bottles and now I'm a little curious, but can't seem to find much info online apart from this video which appears to add it to functioning system without removing any existing oil





Anyone here ever use this stuff in this manner?

Here are a few previous threads about or at least mention the product as part of the discussion, they may be of help.

I've worked on a lot of A/C systems and in my opinion I'd never add anything to the refrigerant except the prescribed oil.

Apart from it being considered snake oil, I'm actually quite curious of the effects of adding it to a system which already has the correct level of oil as shown in the video

Wouldn't that cause compression issues from the excess fluid or is 1.5oz considered negligible?

I wouldn't know as I've always used the correct amount when servicing

Snake oil. There was some additive Wynns wanted us to push years ago that came in a syringe. We ended up replacing condensers and evaporator cores in almost every vehicle that had it done.
