Most severe is short trips less than 5 miles, especially during cold winter months, such that oil never get to operating temperature.

Your driving condition is semi-severe at worst. You can use any name brand synthetic with Fram TG or Wix oil filter for 7500 miles OCI.

Make sure your air filter/intake tube are in good condition without any leak for your driving on dusty roads.

I'm going to help you out and save you money.

Pennzoil Ultra Platinum is running a promotion. Normally sells at walmart and amazon.com for $27.97 for 5 qt's. You can run this top tier synthetic for 10-15k. Right now they also have a rebate going. You can get $10 off a jug. So that comes out to $17.97!! Here is the link to your rebate:

Now to the oil filter. You can run a Purolator Pure1 (wouldn't run it past 12k personally), Fram ultra xtended guard (15k), Mobil 1 extended performance (15k), or a Napa Platinum filter (15k, also on sale for $8.99).

Certain Mobil 1 and Castrol Edge products offer warranty for extended OCIs. It's 10,000 miles for the vanilla products and 15,000 for the higher end ones. Amsoil stands behind extended OCIs, as does Royal Purple. Hmmm, there seems to be one or two examples conspicuous by their absence.

I would like to take the car from the Nissan OCI of 3750 miles to 7500 miles or even a 1year 15K mile oil change. I live 25 miles from a larger city. My two places to get oil and filter are Walmart and Advance Autoparts. What oils and filters are designed for a 7500 mile oil change? I see the Fram TG6607 is for my car and a 7500 mile filter. The Fram XG6607 is a 15k mile filter. Which oils will offer a 7500 mile oil change under a severe driving condition? Remember I need to get my oil change from Wally's World.

Hello s1mp13m4n — For your Versa, we recommend Pennzoil Ultra Platinum Full Synthetic 5W-30. This product is made with PurePlus Technology, our patented process that converts natural gas to a high quality full synthetic base stock. It is crystal clear with fewer of the impurities found in other traditional and synthetic motor oils. In addition, we recommend sticking to your OEM’s suggested oil drain intervals unless you plan to partake in a UOA/testing regime. This way you can experiment with what works well for your particular driving situation/conditions. Hope this info helps! – The Pennzoil Team
