I can play that on Mac OS X. Also Fate of Atlantis and all the old Monkey Island games. I play the latter also on my Nokia internet tablet via SCUMM VM. I hear SCUMM VM works just fine on Vista.

*Don't* -- You should "upgrade" to DOS, or FreeDOS
Disregard the above --- Since I know you're an ubuntu user, you could always just install DOS or FreeDOS as a virtual machine and run the whole OS within the soft, pillowy protection of ubuntu + VirtualBox!
DOS Box works on multiple platforms. It completely emulates a 16-bit DOS environment. An excellent choice for running old games on new a OS: http://www.dosbox.com/download.php?main=1
