...got my daughters car washed. Guy that owns the place is sorta friend in a distant way. Always say hello in town and my wife knows his. Anyway....he has a lift and also does oil changes. Used NAPA filters etc. and puts in whatever oil folks want. I was smoking a cigarette on the side of the building and they had pulled a Range Rover onto the rack and got it in the air. Guys front desk girl came back and told him they didn't have any Mobil 1 5w30 the Range Rover guy wanted....so "the guy" told her don't worry about it...he would just put in NAPA Synthetic and that it "was the same thing anyway". I didn't say anything. But I sure was tempted to tell the Range Rover fella.

If you sell synthetic oil at an oil change place and run out of Mobil 1, it's like running out of water at a car wash. Some folks still think it's number one.

Most places would just put regular Napa oil in and never say a word, Think of it as the Range Rover got a Placebo.The guy will think Mobil 1 changed the formula, because his Rover runs better, as if he even cares. Most people who veiw oil brand in a life or death scenaro, change their own oil. Never would they let a mere mortal do it.
