She doesn't have the data but the fuel & flashpoint is normal? How did she arrive at that conclusion? Is she basing that off the other results? Not certified for a glycol test? Surely, you jest.
Why the change from 10W to 5W?
How long was the oil in use? City driving?

Apparently Glycol testing uses hazardous materials and the person that was certified to do it quit.
So next result will have Glycol. Do not know where she got her results from for the fuel and flashpoint. But those two tests are not done unless asked for so next time I will ask.
Oil was in use 3 months and 2 weeks

Mostly city driving at high speeds and some highway. So probably a mixture. No stop and go though.

Why change from 10W to 5W Cause I can and wanted to and that is what Hyundai recommends. Actually they now recommend and use 5W-20

Come on people this is Redline oil here where are all you Redline haters lovers?

Ken, unless your pounding the crap out of this car, I would use another oil. Redline is an oustanding oil for high performance engines or hard driving conditions. In my Honda, which tends to shear oils, it held up extremely well over an 8,000 mile interval that saw a lot of high rpm driving and high speeds. Oil's viscosity didn't budge at all. As well as it did, I'm going back to Havoline for $1.98qt.

buster, I am thinking the same thing. The 5W-30 was the last of my RL stash. I too am thinking Havoline or Shell or the Yellow Bottle. Got to support Johnny.

Update;
Talked to Dave G at Redline about some of the levels. He says they are all within 10 % except for Molly which should be around 950 :O and the Magnesium is too high he said that was probably molly or another detergent.

10% of what? RL does use about 950ppm of Moly, but B/S labs and some others don't pick up that amount. AnalystsInc. showed 900ppm in my sample.

Buster he did not say. He did say they use Analysts Inc. for their tests. So maybe just maybe they know how to test Red Line oils.
