So in Canada, we have this Esso XD-3, heavy duty 0w40 full PAO synthetic. Lots of talk how great it is /price,etc...

The Lawn tractor's transmission, a Tuff-Tork k66 calls for 10w30 conventional, or synthetics for heaver service, some put in 5W50, M1's, GC, racing oils, etc.
I Read how much better the thing runs on synthetics... less whine, more power to the ground.

QUESTION: Would the nature of this XD-3 PAO work well in this application? Any concerns with seals, etc?

TIA

I dont see why it would'nt work perfectly, given how so many have had great luck with M1 in these units. You can double check with tufftorq http://www.tufftorq.com/index.htm# I hear this company is awesome & will get back to you. What rider do you have? do you have to pull the transaxle to drain/fill it (sealed unit) like so many these days?
G/luck
Joel
