Hustler Super Z Hyperdrive Hydraulic Filter?

I'm getting ready to service my Hustler ztr hydraulic fluid and filter. Should I stick with Genuine Hustler filter (pn 602768x) for >$100, or is there a better filter you recommend?

Off topic but I worked a a forklift dealership and the trans filters for the warehose size G series and later were the exact same filter as my 2005 John Deere 3 series at the time.

Yes I searched and found cheaper alternatives. I just wasn't aware if they were as good, better, or worse than Hustler. Looking for the best protection

I would use the Rotary filter. The only thing special about the Hustler OE filter is the price.
Rotary is one of the largest OPE parts distributors in the world.
Here’s the Stens equivalent.

I use Wix on my Scag and have 1220 hrs with no problems

+1 on Rotary/Stens. Their products are usually a pretty close match to the OEM.

Just make sure it is a 10 micron filter like the Scag hydro filter is. Both Rotary and Stens make similar 10 micron filters to the Scag part.
