HTHS & oil shearing

Searched the forums and could not find the answer...

Does an oil that is prone to shearing, lets use Mobil 0W-40 in this example. The viscosity starts out at 14cst at 100c and the HTHS is 3.7 at 150c. As the oil shears, lets say to 12cst at 100c will the HTHS value decrease as well and if so is it a linear curve?

Good one. As you can see on slide 8, the % change in HTHS is about 1/2 of the % change in KV @ 100C. That also implies a decent linear correlation.
