I was thinking maybe an all-in-one might be a good addition rather than another laptop. I do not need it to be portable since I have a laptop.

Has anyone tried one of the HP ones with 23" or 27" touch screen?

I have enough cables plugged into my laptop that I do not often take if off my desk unless I am actually going away.

We use HP laptops at work and they are ok, but just ok. They have the feel of being bought because they met IT's spec and were the low bid.

I'd probably avoid a all in one just because if anything does go wrong you're likely going to need to replace the whole thing.

HP isn't what they used to be.

I have had a HP all in one for four years now. Been very reliable. I do not have the touch screen, as I never felt I would have a need for it. As far as the comment about wired keyboard and mouse, get wireless. Mine came that way. Wireless keyboards and a wireless mouse can be purchased reasonably.

But a laptop is an all in one also. Just more portable.

Dell makes an inspiron all in one, which I would get over the HP.

My father in law purchased one for around 400 dollars, it is a fine appliance for getting on the internet.

These are home use computers, not business grade at all.

Yep, and I wouldn't buy one for personal use either. Most of the problems we've had with the HPs have been HDD but there have been some bad power supplies too.
