How's the current SM pennzoil?

I just did the first oil change on my moms new ford escape.
It has a 3.0 V6 that specs 5w30. I was at walmart and couldnt find enough oil for the change. All of the quart size bottles must have been sold out and jugs only hold 4-5 quarts. So I bought 6 qts. of pennzoil 5w30 and a motorcraft filter. Is this a good combo for her car?

Sorry I ment to say that the escape specs 5w20 oil but I used 5w30.

Pennzoil 5w30 is excellent, formulated similarly to Pennzoil Platnum.

Your Moms Escape is well protected and will do just fine with the Pennzoil conventional. Just follow the manual and off you go!

Good news for me too. I bought a case a few months ago as a back-up oil for "courtesy" oil changes for friends/family. I used it in a good old 87 Omni and a Napa Gold filter. The engine seems happy!

It will probably run quieter on the 5w30 anyway.

Pennzoil is all wax and will sludge your engine up in 500 miles.

funny but Im asking because I wanted motorcraft 5w20 but my walmart sucks. They never have enough of any brand on the shelf to do a full change.

Ask the clerk there in the auto-section what day their semi-truck auto supplies arrive and are restocked on store shelves.

That day - plus the day after - are the two days I would shop there for Motorcraft supplies.

It's my top pick for dino. And it will not sludge up your engine. Pennzoil is great stuff.
