I got four steel wheels with tires to be stored and wondering should I:

1) deflate the tires?
2) stack them horizontally four high?
3) stand them up?

Tips and Suggestions please

I stack mine horizontally, with normal air pressure in them, and keep them in a garage. Seems to work OK.
Just keep them out of the weather and they'll probably be fine however you choose to store them. I wouldn't store them in any way in which their shape is deformed at all though.

I store mine in the garage on their side, maximum stack 5 or 6 high. Those mounted on wheels have normal air pressure.
Keep them out of the sun, and away from electric motors (they generate ozone which is not good for the rubber). Also keep them from high heat - don't store in the top of the garage.

All good tips. I keep them inflated and scrub them with Bleache-White and a coat of Armor-All on the whole thing. I was told once that it's not good to set them on a concrete floor so I put some wood blocks on the floor under them and I stack them 4 high. Never had a problem, just check the air before you bolt them back on.

Thanks JohnnyO, I forgot I have my tires on 3/4-inch foam insulating board. Had some left over from a home project.

Keep them inflated...maybe couple pounds extra to keep their shape. I bag them (large black garbage bags) to retain some inherent rubber moisture. Keep them off concrete...I stack them horizontally for convenience.

Thanks guys, I intend to keep them for a couple of years since my new alloys are full-time.

Why not sit the tires on concrete?

Will regular opened cardboard boxes do?

Ok, my plan now is to store them horizontally and inflate to 36psi (regular 30-33psi). Oh, indoor garage btw, no sun or electric motors contact

Thanks!
