how to restore this cast iron pan?

Here are a couple of pans i just refinished for my mother-in-law. Somehow water got in them and they rusted. Unfortunately i did not take pre pictures.

These pans were done using the above method i mentioned in post 3 of this thread. Lye bath for 2 days, then vinegar for 10 minutes. Rinse , dry, then immediately into the oven already preheated to 250, to rapidly dry them for 5 minutes. Coat with Grapeseed oil and onto the grill at 500F for an hour, take them out when they cool enough, reoil and into the grill for another hour. Did this 5 times.

I do have a griswold pan i will take pre pics of although its already in the lye.

A lodge Dutch oven #10. I didn't strip this one , as it had little use, and no rust. I cleaned it and did a high heat seasoning with the grape seed oil.

Mostly for the inside, as I plan to use this camping with charcoal under it and on the lid.

Oiled, and back in the box till camping season.

I took a 12" Lodge, plus an old Lodge Dutch Oven, sanded the interior smooth, and then seasoned them. They turned out almost as good as my expensive Stargazer pan. When seasoning a smooth pan, the oil can create a mottled-looking appearance until I started wiping down the oil after it baked for a short time. Then, it was nice and smooth. Rough cast Lodge pans don't have that problem.

BTW, the Dutch Oven was my mother's. I stole it and used it in the garage, degreasing car and motorcycle parts for more than 20 years. That thing was thrashed. I soaked it in lye for a few days, then sanded it down. There is some corrosion pitting that wouldn't sand out, so that pan got extra seasoning layers to seal it over. We recently filled it with baked beans and put it inside the smoker, along with a pork shoulder. Best **** beans I've ever eaten. And the pan cleaned up beautifully!
