How to mail oil sample? Post Office Problems.

Another strange thing for the PO. Stopped to mail some letters yesterday and my UPS driver pulled up in front of me. She said, "got a pkg for you, wnt it now?". Then she proceeds to carry in sveral to PO. The USPS ships pkg't by UPS to the PO, would not have belived it unless I seen it myself.

I seen mine do that to and asked him about it and he said that for a buck or 2 more they will drop it by there and then the post office will deliver it to you. If anything it makes it easier on UPS but I would rather get it that day and not the next.

On the oil shipping I've used USPS and have never been hassled at all but we did get a new PM so I will see if that is still true.

Same here but I don't even use an envelope. I just slap a lable on the outside container provided by Blackstone.

I've not the patience to try to explain to a USPS drone that "yes it's liquid but it's ok to mail." I've yet to have the post office police arrest me for lying...

Last time I checked those Post Office outside blue mail boxes didn't ask any questions.

Years ago, I had a problem with coffee cups disappearing from a common area. I marked one "CAUTION! HIV and Herpes tainted body fluid sample" and oddly enough, the cup remained unbothered. . .

I got hassled last time. It was a test. The guy must have gotten some in service training on "spotting and stopping blablabla" and saw a target of opportunity.

Is it liquid:
Yes
Hazardous?
No.
What is it?'
Used motor oil
That's hazardous (starts getting a "Det. Stabler knowing smile" on his face)
No it isn't ..you know it's not. I've sent lots of these.

blablabla (as he's affixing postage)
But it is a great target of opportunity for any postal inspector type that needs to justify his job.

This got a "second look" from him (as he was throwing it in the bin).

I will post when I get the results back. 05 Camry with the 3.0 V6 with lots of 1 mile trips. We shall see....
