iam looking to buy a mid size pick up. but i dont like the way EVERY ONE lists different specs. they ALL cram them in a paragraph. then i have to sort how they fit together. my 69 year old eye cant hunt out that easy. the factory, and motors brand the blue one, service manuals put every thing in lines left to right. . you find what you want on the left side then go to the right and there ALL the info is on ONE line. i know iam a bit cantankerous. but we all will have to live with it.

Uh, life poses many challenges, I guess. Fortunately (?), there aren't that many "mid-sized" pickup trucks to ponder.

There are two sets of specs, the max towing one you get when "properly equipped" and something that exists for bragging rights. Won't find one of these, you'll have to order it.

Then there's the MPG special with 2.73 gears (or so) and a 900 lb payload. These will be all over dealer lots and represent the newspaper special price.

Do you even tow or haul ANYTHING with it? You didn't mention.

I'd honestly opt for a F-150 with a V6. The resale will be excellent.

Even if he does tow, a V6 F150 should be able to do it. I have some friends that tow a single vehicle with a 3.5 and 3.7 F150 (both NA) and they work great.

Copy and paste into a word processor. Might need to paste into Notepad first (so as to strip out any HTML formatting), then paste into Word or likewise. Then format onto new lines etc.

Personally I love Excel but there are other tools. Boil it into a table. Then you can format however you like, into whatever representation that shows you want you are interested in. Fill in the table for each vehicle you are looking at (just remember to put in a link back to the vehicle in question!).

Easier to use an excel file. Use one column for each of the desired specs, then fill in.

When looking for our last house, we scoured the real estate listing and used an excel file like this. Made it easy to narrow down the choices.
