How to get unavailable original recordings

I also like obscure music you can’t usually find on download services. I’ve had good luck on eBay, used record stores, and even thrift stores. There’s one huge used music store here that has out of print CD’s and albums at decent prices. A guy I know had a hit with his band in the ‘80s. It was never on CD, except for one ‘90s compilation. I found it there for just a few dollars.

That's wild it showed up on a compilation! Right on!

Ebay and Discogs are my go-to places for obscure music. Music Stack is good too. GEMM was awesome till it shut down.

Can you recommend any good online music forums?

It depends on what genre of music you're into, they're usually genre specific. All the ones I'm on concentrate on umcomped or unreissued 60s garage/psych rock.

I like that Genre! The Rhino Nuggets box sets are in my collection!
