Actually, he never siad he invented the internet. That was the conservative media mis-quoting so they could make him look bad. By supporting the funding of the internet's predecesor, he said he helped 'create the internet". Big difference, but the truth has been lost a long time ago.

Did you see Al Sharpton on Saturday Night Live? He really is funny! I don't care much for his politics but he's not a bad comedian.

It is weird when somebody like Al Gore claims that he invented the internet. That makes me wonder if he is stable or if he just thinks he can say anything and people will believe him. Actually, the internet began back in the cold war days.
He did not claim that he invented the internet. The claims by the right wing wack jobs that he did are as much an overstatement of fact as Gores exagerations.

Thank goodness that is finally settled! I always suspected that it was actually MarkC that invented the internet-either him or Patman's son. And I also thought it was MarkC who invented the digital camera. I did not know about him becoming the Archbishop, however.

Oh, one more thing-Al Gore is now involved (or was involved) with Apple Computer in some manner. Maybe Al Gore invented the Apple Computer (probably with MarkC's help).
I don't think that I fear Al Gore, but he did come very close to being President of the United States (some say he SHOULD have been President). No telling what happened down there in Florida. I wonder how Al Gore, if he had been President, would have handled 9-11.

A person at work handed me a floppy and asked if I could "intall the internet" on their computer for them.
I told them they'd have to get a few more diskettes and a larger hard drive before I could comply so they went to their boss and asked for a new computer with a larger hard drive LOL.
