I check my tires out almost weekly.....before or after I wash the car, I aim to look a the treads wherever expose just short of where it faces inside the wheelweel or the part that is the ground.

Removed all 4 wheels today and never noticed this slit with cord showing until it was literally off the wheel
Can't believe I never saw it until now

I don't check my tires enough. At rotation (5K miles) and occasionally between that.

When I drove the felon taxi, it was part of my daily pre-flight. I would also check tire pressure, either with a gauge or thru the surprisingly accurate TPMS. My civilian stuff gets an abbreviated pre-flight, but still look at the tires. Weekly pressure checks (with gauge) gets me rather intimate with the rubber. Tires and brakes.

Almost never. Although I did look at them a couple weeks ago. Might be due for a new set with winter coming up.

Before I get in any and all of my vehicles. And a quickover when I arrive at my destination. I'm looking for nails/screws, underinflation, and any sidewall damage. That routine has saved my hide many times I've been doing that for the last 45 years.

Normal people never think about their tires, until they're about to go on a road trip.
That's why they keep a spare.
But "normal" is probably not an adjective fitting most BITOG patrons.
I'm debating rotating the 5/32" rears to front on FIL's Renegade to even out the wear. The fronts have 4/32". He needs 4 new before winter anyway, just trying to keep even for warranty prorate.

He is almost all around town but I must say the Falken Wildpeak AT Trails have worn very fast. They have been good in dry, wet, winter and very even wear with rotations. They also have been pretty quiet the whole time.

once a month, normally for treadwear and pressure adjustments if needed, If it's wearing more in the inner or outer, I adjust the pressure accordingly.

Doing a little deeper dive into this. I decided to rotate them but didn't complete the task. The factory lug bolts with that nice chrome cap are swollen/loose/deformed. My 17mm impacts and the factory lug wrench really don't fit them. One that I got off had to get beat out of my socket. I ordered new 1 piece lugs, no caps, then I will do the rotation.

Mileage is right at 30k over 3 years (1 year of that sitting in Jeep dealer parking lot). Tires had 11/32" according to specs when new. Tire is rated for 65k, they might see 1/2 of that.
