How much Amsoil Cetane Boost do i add?

Got some Amsoil Cetane Boost Additive from a friend. It says add contents of can (16 oz.) to 100 or 200 gallons of fuel. Will boost cetane 3 to 7 points. Add 1 can to 100 gallons for maximum benefits. My friend says be careful about how much you put in your tank because that stuff is strong. This is going into my 92 dodge cummins with 120,000 miles. Engine runs great but i want to give it a little help as it has been getting in the low teens at night and only 25 degrees for the high. If i go with 1.6 oz per 10 gallons will i hurt anything or should i go with .8 ounces per 10 gallon and wonder what if? I dont know what the cetane rating is on the fuel i buy and no station ever lists that for diesel. What is a high cetane rating and what is considered average cetane here in Kansas City?

I'd use 1-2 ounces for every 10 gallons of fuel in cold weather and 0.5-1.0 ounces for every 10 gallons the rest of the year...

I assume your local diesel stations are running number 1 diesel since it is winter in your area and as such you do not need to add a gel point lowering additive. If not the Amsoil Cetane boost won't lower it. Amsoil has a seperate product for that.

Am currently running both in my powerstroke but don't need the lower jelpoint though, just the lubrication and cetane boost.
