How many qts/Mixmaster!

Two part question here:

1. How many Qts of ATF for a 03 Cavalier (wife doesn't have her book/my car is still on loan) I'm doing a flush and fill in the next week or so. (car only has 50k, dropping the pan @80k)


2. I was offered some free Valvoline Dex III ATF (for the Cav, I'm sure it runs on Dex III), but may not get enough to finish..could I mix Dex III and Dex VI together? Like a Syn Blend?

1. According to Amoil's lookup guide you need 13+ quarts.

2. I don't know if I'd want to mix them, but I imagine it will work fine.

Edit: It should work just fine. They don't advise an exchange when using it ..that means that everyone will be mixing.

I know you are getting it for free but adding Dex 3 to the mix is just going to degrade the performance benefits of the Dex VI. Yeah, it will work but you should either stick to Dex III or upgrade completely via cooler line flush to Dex VI. Fluid is cheap.
