Just curious what you folks are driving per day. I'm talking about a real number, not a guesstimate.

Assuming you keep track of your oil change dates and mileage, it's quite easy. Go to a site like this one. Enter in date range between your two oil changes. Then, take the number of miles driven between those two dates, and divide it by the number of days.

I averaged 17.158 miles per day. This last oil change was typical daily driving, with a few longer trips, and one 300 mile weekend trip to Philly.

Until Monday of this week, I had been doing 140 miles per day, because I was working at a customer's site in the boonies. I did that for almost a year. It sucked!!!

Now, I'm back in my office, and driving about 80 miles per day.

I go 19 miles a day four days a week plus any extra usage on weekends.

It averages out to 12-ish miles for normal driving excluding any long trips.

9.8 per day, unless I take a detour to WalMart on the way home, which would make it about 11.3. My oil changes are usually way more about time than they are mileage.

Let's see, I have years worth of data. Let's just look at 2006 and 2007. Over that two year period I recorded 65543 miles / 730 days. That is just under 90 miles/day.

buster, in another topic, you mentioned that you run 0w-20 and keep the tire pressure up in order to achieve better MPG. I'm not being nosy, but wouldn't keeping the speed down to 65-70MPH offer you better MPG than the other 2 items combined?

About 900 miles per month, so about 30 miles per day.

An 18-mile round trip to and from work, and errands on the weekends, totalling about 210 a week.

Used to be 62 miles round trip just for the commute but now is down to just 4 miles per day for commuting to work.

About 14 miles each way to work, five days per week with every other Friday off. Sometimes a 100-mile trip into Seattle but not much any more beyond that.
