How many change oil, no matter what weather

I just go ahead and do it every 5K.
I back the subject car into the garage, after it has been used for some distance, to warm the oil, and go for it.
Cold is really not so bad if you dress for it, and if you get over your natural distaste for it.
If it is really cold, I'll go inside the house while the oil drains.
Anyway, after the first couple of changes on almost anything, you get it down to a point where it doesn't take very long.

I'll be doing two OC's today in 32F weather. Cardboard and blankets are my friend...since my garage is full of [censored] again this year.

I don't enjoy these - but if I can avoid having a shop work on my car I will. Unfortunatly, the PYB has been in the Malibu for 9,000 miles so it's time to change for sure. At least there's two quarts of make-up oil in there.

i'll change mine whenever. If I plan to change the oil on a purticular day, I will leave the ramps and drain pan ready to go for when I get off work. I get hoe and drive up the ramps, slide the pan under the car, then reach under and open the Fumoto Valve. total time, about 45 seconds. I let it drain for about 10 minutes then head back outside. Close the valve, and dump in 5 new quarts(time= about 2 minutes)....done. I save the filter change for the next oil change if it is really cold out.

I just changed my oil in 2 cars a couple weeks ago when it was 16 degrees F out. I was outside a total of about 10 minutes.

I go by mileage regardless of season. It rarely hits the 30s around here. My 4-5K OCIs are really conservative using Redline so I have no problem "adjusting" them if it's really hot or really cold for a few days.

thats dedication.. I think had i been in your shoes i would have coughed up the coin and taken my oil choice and filter to the local shop.. Im so glad i have a monster garage and a heater.. and anymore i plan oci's with the seasons.. i shouldnt need to change a thing till spring.. on my dry garage floor

Mine is due in another 100 miles or so.
I'll just pull it into the garage with a little space heater on. Coveralls keep me nice and warm if needed, thank goodness for the garage though!

I change my oil in any weather. Luckily, I work at a Chev. dealership and can use the lift. In addition, the one vehicle has a Fumoto valve. Oil changes are a cinch.

I'm guilty of that, too, except I don't bother with the ramps unless I'm changing the oil filter. It takes about 10 seconds to push the drain pan underneath the car and flip the Fumoto valve. The most time is spent draining the used oil into a gallon milk jug for disposal.

Growing up on a farm where you had to be out feeding cattle, fixing equipment ect. was necessary to be out there everyday. To me an oil change in 20 below is nothing. Maybe takes me 5 minutes to have the car up on ramps and the oil draining. I will either do something else outside or go in for an hour or so. When I come back it takes 15 minutes to get a new filter on, drain plug on and new oil in.

Coldest day of the year last year I had to replace the headlight because this was the second time my wife got pulled over by the cops for a headlight, first was for the passenger side and then a month later the drivers side went out, that was not fun!

I am that guy every 3,000 miles or 3 months no matter what the weather. In the winter I put on my headlamp and some warm clothes and usually have to do it in the dark after work.

Just changed the oil the wife's car. Temp. was 17°F/-8°C, but there was no wind, nor snow

and a week of snow in the forecast. The mileage schedule for her car just happened to line up with a halfway decent day.
