I'm going to be running Valvoline NextGen 5w20 in my sister's 2005 Honda Civic. I usually run PYB 5w20 for a 6k OCI, but got some NextGen at a good price. How long should I run the NextGen? Her car sees a mix of highway and city driving, and is driven decently hard. The filter I use for it is a Purolator Classic.

The Next Gen will be fine for that oci.

I currently have it in my 06 Scion tC as well and plan to pull a sample after 5k miles. Hopefully it will have plenty of life left to go longer as the car sees a lot of highway miles.

I usually run regular Next Gen out to 4k. It cleans well and makes my engine smooth. But I wouldn't take it past 6k, personally. Seems a bit lacking in performance at the height of my drain interval.

FWIW, I ran Maxlife Nextgen 4K in my e36 under pretty ideal conditions, putting the 4K on the car in a little less than two months during warm weather.
The UOA showed virtually no wear and residual TBN was much stronger than I thought it would be.
I'd be comfortable out to 5K or so.
I'm not too sure about much more, since Valvoline oils, while providing for very low wear on shortish drains are not the TBN retention champs.
Did you get this oil FAR?
If so, I'd not be too concerned about trying to squeeze every possible mile out of it.
