How long to leave in engine?

I recently purchased a daily commuter vehicle, a 1993 Toyota Camry V6, so my 2007 F-150 will not be seeing much use as it was before. I currently use MotorCraft Full Synthetic 5w-20 when the oil gets changed in the 5.4 3v Ford Motor. Can I safely go a full year on this oil with about 5K miles on it, or should I change it out at least every 6 months??? I am currently under extended warranty .....

Follow the warranty requirements, otherwise 1 year is fine...

Your other option is just to change the oil filter every six months and change the oil once a year. You may need to add a quart to a quart and half when you replace you oil filter.

Why would you need to replace the oil filter every 6 months? It would only have about 2500 miles on it?
