on Havoline Blend 5w30 in winter temps?

Commute is typically 17 miles each way 25% highway/75% city daily.

But does see some high RPM mountain driving in the duration of a 4k oci.

Engine is a 3.2L Sohc that hits in the 3-4k rpm's range several times in a week. I don't "romp" it, however, we live on the base of a mountain.

Sounds like only 1K a month. You should be fine till May (5K) IF your engine/oil-air filtering/PCV is OK internally. I generally do not go beyond 5K on blends. I like a clean/clear dipstick for 2K of my OCIs with oils having mostly dino in it.

So can a blend typically last longer then regular dino?

I've never ran a blend; however my mechanic was giving out free oil/filter changes this month and changed the oil without me knowing til I picked it up.

Cool ok, thanks; so it should get me through the coldest months, because there is NO way

I'm climbing underneith that truck at 10F to change oil.

For whatever reason, it seems this winter is a lot colder then last.

Yeap!

You're a lucky duck, with the garage, my Rodeo won't fit through the height of the door to our two car garage. It's kind of a bugger, actually!
