How long does it take to build a 2025 Ford Transit?

Ford started production on our van. March 3.

Any guesses as to how long?

Last update was March 4 - in production. Curious!

My giulietta diesel was ordered on jan 3, production started on feb 14, and it was at the dealer all the way from the factory in Italy at feb 25. several parts like the fuel tank had feb 13 date codes on it, the engine was 6 months older.

A single glitch can shutter the production. If A.I. messes up the robotic arms, you can expect major delays:

At the Lansing Delta Township plant there will be thousands of cars waiting at the rail head for weeks then in a couple days almost everything will be gone. It's a feast and famine thing when it comes to rail cars. :-)

Takes about 8 hours to build it.
In August 2014 I toured the Kansas City plant that builds the Transit. We were a launch customer for the 2015 MY Transit.
The side panels were stamped in a building, inside a building, just in case something let go - hundreds of tons of stamping machinery moving quickly, something to see.
On a side note, interesting to see the first aluminum F150s go down the line. Same site as the Transit.

Ford still has not updated, but dealer was able to get this:

Don’t give Ford any ideas!
So we had a part, fuel pump driver module, that showed an ETA off backorder of 30Apr. I did the emergency warranty down order thing and that gave me an estimated ship date of 04May. Customer, rightfully, was not happy and we bought one out from another dealer. The one we bought out and the one I emergency ordered showed up on the same FedEx shipment 😐 🙃
