How long do you let your car warm up?

On the Neon if I was tight for time and had a interior fogging problem, I would drag the brakes at half throttle to get thing warmed up in a minute or two... Didn't really seem to bother anything.

I never tried that in my 98 R/T. It warmed up so fast it was always ready for action. I miss the 'spirited' feel of that little car...

I tried to find a first gen R/T recently because I want one. Not happening. They are so rare anymore, most have been scrapped, such a shame, it was Chrysler's last truly great little pocket rocket.

I guess in sunny florida, -15C damp mornings are fairly rare! The car did warm up reasonably fast, but I have a 1/2 mile before I really need to see well, so to get it clearing the windows by then needed some extra encouragement.
I actually looked online for one just the other day, they still are around in my area atleast, not many clean ones though... I dont' have a good work/storage space right now, so no project cars.

I wait until the car goes into 'closed loop', which is when CAT#1 reaches 600F. On warm days it's fairly quick and on cold days it might take 30 seconds.

I miss it. It had everything an ACR does, even the gearing. It just wasn't as light because it was loaded with options. It would hit the limiter in top gear easily, and got 36 mpg on trips! Great driver's car, rotated with your foot like perfection in the corners.

It was stolen out of my driveway, found it burned and stripped in the nearby woods...

Sad.. The biggest problem with that car was how easy they are to steal. I had friends who had their first gens stolen, too. My 01 R/T was never tampered with at all.
