How I will know when gas prices have reached the Max

I will know that gas prices have peaked when I don't see any more lazy morons sitting in the driver's seat idling their cars for 20 minutes in front of the supermarket waiting for someone inside instead of parking, getting off their fat a$$, and walking 50 feet into the supermarket.

Judging by the number of people I've seen doing this lately, $4/gallon gas is expected.

The gas price limit will be reached when federal cops are sent to quell gas station riots, when curfews/martial law are in effect in all major US cities, when the internet plug is pulled by feds, and when elections are cancelled in the interest of national security.

Like many have posted before, I don't see people changing their driving habits enough to notice. Huge SUVs and trucks with one person going as fast as they can with one person in them.

I am seeing the difference in the volume of traffic on my road and the speed folks drive locally is down. The market is taking care of it.

People are definetaly slowing down on the highways. Gas is over 6 bucks a gallon in the Atlanta area

I think prices would need to be in the $8-$10USD/gallon before we'd see real changes. IE more folks carpooling, taking transit, riding or walking to destinations, consolidating trips and just plain driving less.

It's still relatively cheap now AFAIC

The spot market price went up 53 cents yesterday..that is unprecedated. Price is $2.59 and that does not include taxes, profit, and delivery. Stand by..news at 11

Selfish people continue to drive and say I'll just pay the price. So the sky may be the limit. It may drop some after labor day ,if I owned the oil companies I would keep the price up because people are paying the price.
