I have a 1995 Jeep Grand Cherokee that sat out back at a buddy's house for two years. when I finally decided to retrieve it discovered that mice had taken up residence. as one can imagine, the smell was horrible. Here is what we did to get rid of the mess:
removed the interior. all of it: seats, carpet, trim, etc.
scrubbed with bleach
Put 4 coats of Kilz on the floor
new carpet and padding
removed the dashboard
removed the heater box.
alot of nesting material was in the blower area, the evaporator, and the heater core.
cleaned and bleached the heater box.
I now have a usable vehicle - although at the onset I was ready to junk it.
