Something to consider there is go to a place like Discount Tire and pay them $20-25 / tire for their road hazard protection. They'll cover any tire, whether you bought it from them or not.

Generally that may be true. However, I've had DT get me a prorated price on two different relatively new OE tires with unrepairable punctures. The first a BFG on an Explorer. The second more recently for a Goodyear Assurance FuelMax. On the second I did have to be a bit more persistent but still polite and I did get it. Both times counter rep got on the phone to someone, I assume the manufacturer and give the information. Still had pay for mounting and balance but significantly less expensive than a new tire with same services. YMMV.

As for topic of OE tire treadwear warranty at DT, my attitude can't hurt to ask politely at the store. Worst they can say is no, and asking may at least get you some added price consideration towards a set of new tires. Just make sure the OE tire you have is the specific tire matched to the treadwear warranty. The aforementioned OE GY Assurance FuelMax was/is same tire still sold by GY.

Tire Rack includes road hazard protection in the price of four tires. I had a flat from a pothole on a gravel road. I filed a claim online taking pictures precisely as the instructions stated. Got a check the following week for the full price of the tire including tax. Bought the identical tire. Sumitomo Encounters....darn good tires too.

At 6/32 tread depth you have a long ways to go to get the mileage claim depth of 2/32nds. I wouldn't run tires to that depth anyway. Mileage warranty is worthless. It's just a guess as to how long they might last under ideal conditions is all.

My Toyota came with a Michelin pamphlet. Pretty sure they have a warranty. But they're at 6/32" and I have 50k on them so it's seeming like they'll make the 60k they're rated for...
