I used a forever black kit on my Tacomas plastic fender flares and it looks like chit now. The forever black formed a paper thin layer of black **** over most of the fender and it sprayed off wiht a high pressure car wash but it did not really "dye" so to speak, it did leave a couple of patches that would not come off. Its a TERRIBLE product and it may have permanently damaged my plastic trim, is there anyway to get it off?

sorry I can't help you, but I was thinking of getting this product to use on a black plastic part of my car which is faded...I guess I won't try it now...Thanks !

I did use some on my bedliner and on the black handles on my wifes ford focus which it worked well on. But it just wouldnt "take" to the Tacoma fender flares, I almost have all of it off (after ALOT of hydrospraying). I would recommend just trying it in a very inconspicuous area first.

If you could remove it, then it wouldn't be "forever".

P.B.

After about 4 pressure washings (around 30.00 in qtrs) I was able remove almost all of it, just a few specs. BE CAREFUL with this stuff.

There is a product called Wax Blaster wax remover that may (or may not) help remove the offending stuff.

I just said screw it.. Took the flares off removed the weather stripping and refinished them with SEM Trim Black. The automotive paint store recommended it. They came out looking like new. Hopefully it holds up as well as the store said it does.
