How do I get a Dyson analysis? What do I get?

hey guys,

I have had a total of 2 oil tests from Blackstone now. The first one came back ok the second has some serious amounts of wear metals in it. Mostly lead and iron. I need to get another sample tomorrow since i'm changing oil again. It was recommended that maybe I have someone look at the test (a pro) and see what they think. It is in my 2.5L I-4 Jeep wrangler with mobil 1 10-30

How can I get a Terry Dyson analysis if I send my sample to blackstone labs?

What will I get? How much does it cost? What can he tell me?

i'm looking for information. Didn't know what section to put this in. If this is the wrong section move it please

Yea just call Blackstone and ask for the test kits (free) Then when you fill out the sheet to send in with the analysis. Tell them you want the Dyson analysis. You can use credit card or do a $35 check.

In addition what you see on the report Terry will write a comprehensive narritive giving you excellent, excellent information. It is a very good deal. I highly recommend it.

Thanks Al. I use blackstone kits and I have one left here so when I send this one in for Analysis on Monday i'll be sure to add an additional 15 bucks on the payment to get terry's opinion and another TBN. I'll be sure to post up my results again for forum opinions.

Can someone clarify the pricing? Is it $35 for the Dyson package PLUS $20 to Blackstone for the analysis? Or is it $35 TOTAL to both Blackstone and Dyson combined?

Could you purchase the Dyson package after the fact, or must it be pre-purchased when you send your oil for analysis. My thinking is that you may not realize there is a problem, then when the results come back from Blackstone there is an unexpected problem that you'd like Terry's expert opinion on.

Yes, $35 for everything...UOA w/ TBN and Terry's services.

You can send him any UOA for interpretation for $20.
I'd stick w/ the package. It's a better deal. PLus I would not trust myself to determine what to send him. Maybe you think it's ok...but he can optimize it or find something hidden. Best to just have him look at your UOA if you are doing one.

He has my recommendations!
