How are these Road Force values?

I bought Nexen Aria H7's online and had them installed on the Pilot by my local shop today. After Road Force balancing, the final numbers were 12 RF, 12 LF, 17 RR & 18 lbs LR. The rears were originally 24, but breaking the beads and rotating the tires brought them down. I trust this shop and I could see chalk marks on the tires indicating they did indeed shift them around. 27 lbs is the RF limit, according to the mfg.

Evening traffic prevented me from really test driving the car but I will go out on the highway in the morning to check for any vibration.

What do you guys think of these RF values? These are 18'' tires, and I've read bigger tires can have higher RF values.
 
Around 15 is where they start breaking them down to match balance them. I had a set of 18's Continental CrossContact LX20 installed on our '16 Highlander. It was 3, 5, 9, & 10.
How did your's look while being balanced? Any wheel damage?
 
I would say they are average for P rated tires of that size, after a RF adjustment. Nothing to worry about. I have had LT tires on my Suburban come in at over 80 after a RF attempt- they were clearly defective. On my Saturn Ion Redline, 17" tires, I had one set come in at 0, 3,3,3 and my mechanic was astounded how well they came out. Those were some high dollar Bridgestones. I had almost that good of a reading on some Dunlops on a Ford Contour.
Those numbers are way better than average- I just got lucky.
 
Having a RF balancer, I think getting the balance dead nuts is just as important. Even then, there are so many pieces of the puzzle for a smooth ride, including the vehicle, tires, and the road. The Earth is like 24000 mile in circumference , and the roller on the road force balancer is only about 31 inches, which is far from a flat smooth road.

First, each vehicle has a certain sensitivity level. Some vehicles are incredibly sensitive, some are just the opposite.

What each vehicle tolerates is also dependent on the size (weight) of the vehicle - cars needing smaller values, while trucks tolerate larger values. For cars, the usual value is in the low teens, where a small SUV is in the high teens, with pickups and large SUV's in the low 20's.

So a Honda Pilot with tires below 18 - just about where it ought to be.

But the drive is the real test!
 
So I put about 100 miles on the Nexens. I feel a slight, and I mean slight vibration b/w 55-60. It's when the tires are cold, so I'm guessing it's from flat-spotting (car's parked outside).They are quiet and ride on the softer side, just like the old Michelins. If I can get Michelin ride quality for $107/tire, I ain't complaining!

Looking forward to seeing how they perform in the snow/ice!
