Glued I think. I have a 99 I30. had a new trunk lid installed and painted, shop says the old emblems were not reusable, and new are not available.
eBay has used ones, what to do. shop does not like used stuff.

Depends on the emblems. Some snap on, some screw on, some are held by double sided tape, and some are held by this stuff you put on it like tape, and then peel it off and it leaves it all sticky and you stick it on. Can't remember the name of the stuff though.

Buy new. Theyre usually double sided tape, and the used ones are normally scraped off the car, killing the adhesive. Bmws have two small pins that push into plastic retainers, but they normally break off on removal.

Most are double sided tape today very few use pins anymore. They don't like to use them because they have to retape it which means cleaning the old tape off and carefully putting new tape on. PITA

Ive had some that press in with some little bushings. Others just use a dual-sided (foam?) tape, like 3M sells.

Thanks for the link that might come in handy.

If you just need the Infiniti emblem, just get a new one for a newer model. It should look good still.

New emblems aren't available and the shop doesn't like used? What kind of establishment is this?? Lol.

This is like a being a fisherman for a living, but not wanting to get wet every now and then..

I bet the old one was brittle plastic and broke when they tried to work (pry) it off. IDK why they wouldn't have new ones. Not many ricers putting infiniti thingies on their sentras.

With the double sided tape, a heat gun makes the adhesive get loose. They must have been rushing.

My flying H on the front and trunk are held on with two puns and quick nuts. PITA to remove as you need to get to the back side of it. The rest are just stuck on with double sided tape. To get the tape to let loose use some floss string to saw your way through the adhesive.
